Power systems developer Rolls-Royce has won two more contracts from PetroChina relating to the West to East Gas Pipeline Project (WEPP).The total value of the orders is in excess of $120m.Three RB211-powered gas compressor packages and a single motor-drivencompressor have been ordered for Line 1 of the WEPP pipeline.Additionally, six RB211 compressor packages are required for the 2,450 kilometre western section of Line 2 of the WEPP.The latest orders increase the number of Rolls-Royce RB211 gas turbine packages being used on the original WEPP line to 19 and the number of motor-driven units to six.All the equipment for WEPP Line 1 is due to be delivered in the first quarter of 2010, while the six packages for Line 2 are scheduled for delivery in the second quarter.
