MITIE Group said the outsourcing company was well placed to achieve "good levels" of organic growth this financial year.In a trading update for the period from April 1st to date, the firm reported a positive start to the year, driven by strong performance in the facilities management division. At the end of June, 89% of budgeted revenues for the financial year was secured compared to 87% at the same period in 2012.During the period, the integration of UK home services provider, Enara, was progressing to plan and the business was rebranded MiHomecare. "The investments we have made in our integrated facilities management capabilities will deliver further growth, underpinned by our record order book and significant pipeline of sales opportunities," the company said. In the private sector, MITE was awarded new work including a contract with Mitchells & Butlers, operator of restaurants and pubs in the UK, to deliver waste management, cleaning and environmental services, for a total value of £38m over three years. The group also scored a number of contracts valued between £5.0m and £10m over three years including with BAE Systems, Cineworld, Kellogg's and Capital One. In the public sector, MITIE won contract awards in the healthcare sector through MiHomecare, including a Continuing Healthcare programme in Leicestershire worth £2.5m over five years.Looking ahead, the group said it was positive about the range of outsourcing opportunities across key markets and was confident of sustainable profitable growth.RD
