(Sharecast News) - Digital television and broadcasting software company Mirada announced the integration of the 'Disney+' streaming service into its Iris multiscreen product on Thursday, and its deployment across Televisa's 'izzi' subscription television platform.
The AIM-traded firm said the integration was the result of a collaboration between izzi, Disney and Mirada, enabling the arrival of Disney+ in Mexico as part of the integrated services offered by izzi.

Customers of the recently-launched 'izzitv' smart service could now access Disney+ directly through izzi's platform, and without the need for a separate subscription.

Mirada said adding Disney+ to izzi's service, based on Mirada's Iris platform using the Android TV Operator Tier platform, further strengthened the operator's position in the Mexico market.

"With the successful integration of Disney+ into Televisa's izzi pay TV platform, we are delighted to welcome yet another streaming giant to Mirada's Iris multiscreen product," said chief executive officer José Luis Vázquez.

"The flexibility and the speed with which we are able to deliver integrations of this kind demonstrates the future-proof nature of Mirada's offering.

"At a time when aggregation experience is becoming ever more important, we continue to work with our valued clients to deliver deeply integrated, highly innovative solutions."

At 1517 GMT, shares in Mirada were up 7.33% at 80.5p.
