Micro Focus nabs ex-Morse boss

Legacy software specialist Micro Focus has appointed former Morse chief executive Mike Phillips as its new Chief Financial Officer.Phillips replaces Nick Bray, who left in June to go to a competitor, and starts at Micro Focus on 4 October. He moved up to the chief executive role at Morse after starting as Group Finance Director. He left Morse in July 2010 following its sale to 2e2 in June 2010 and is no longer a director. Previous jobs included seven years corporate finance work at Smith & Williamson, as well as two years at PricewaterhouseCoopers."I am delighted to welcome Mike to Micro Focus. He has led finance teams successfully at international technology corporations and has worked across every aspect of finance, from the development of effective management reporting processes to M&A experience, including extensive experience at organizations going through significant change through organic and acquired growth," Nigel Clifford, chief executive of Micro Focus said.
