(ShareCast News) - Infrastructure investor International Public Partnership (INPP) said the Learning Communities Victoria Consortium (LCVC) has been selected by the Victorian Department of Education and Training as the preferred bidder for a new project in Australia.The FTSE 250 group said LCVC will now enter negotiation to design, build, finance and maintain the New Schools Public Private Partnership Project, which comprises of 15 schools across 12 different sites.INPP said LCVC will now work with the state government to finalise the contracting and financing, adding construction is expected to begin in the fourth quarter of the year, while the first tranche of schools are expected to be ready for the start of the 2017 academic year."We are delighted to have been named preferred bidder on the Victorian New Schools PPP Project," said group chairman Rupert Dorey."This demonstrates the company's ability to continue to bring high quality international projects to the portfolio."INPP shares were up 0.15% to 135.10p at 0844 BST on Wednesday.
