(Sharecast News) - IQ-AI announced on Wednesday that its subsidiary Imaging Biometrics has appointed Korea Motion as its first distributor in South East Asia.The London-listed firm said Korean Motion would sell IB's full range of diagnostic imaging products in the areas of brain tumour detection, using perfusion maps and the monitoring of brain tumour development.It said the products had been presented to several "leading South Korean hospitals" over the last few months, generating "significant" potential sales interest."Our South Korean partner recently demonstrated their enthusiasm and competence in the medical software field through the introduction of 'StoneChecker', securing the first commercial order for that product earlier this month," said Imaging Biometrics chief executive officer David Smith."After trialing the full Imaging Biometrics range with several hospitals in recent months we are confident they will repeat this success with our products for detecting and monitoring brain tumors."This latest agreement marks the start of a concerted effort by management to develop global markets for Imaging Biometrics' products, building upon the success we are achieving in the United States."Additionally, IQ-AI said Imaging Biometrics had received ISO 13485:2016 certification for 'Medical Device and Quality Management Systems'.It said the ISO certification was required for regulatory purposes specific to the medical device industry, with the specific standard supporting the design, development, manufacture, and distribution of medical devices.To be certified, IQ-AI said companies needed demonstrate their ability to provide medical devices and services that consistently fulfilled customer and regulatory requirements."This certification underscores our company's steadfast commitment of providing high-quality products to our clients," said David Smith."Maintaining a world-class quality management system is a key goal of IB, and our clients can feel confident that our quality management system provides a solid framework for how we conduct business."
