AIM-listed energy group Graphene NanoChem announced it has appointed Dato' Mohamed Sallehuddin bin Othman as a Non-Executive Director and Chairman of the audit committee.Othman who is currently the Non-Executive Chairman at the Malaysian Ministry of Finance agency, Cradle, sits on the executive boards of Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance, a provider of general insurance solutions, and Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi, a subsidiary of Japan's largest bank.Wong Kai Fatt, a Non-Executive at Graphene NanoChem, has resigned from his role, after the successful completion of the company's reverse takeover of Biofuels International in March 2013. Jespal Deol, Chief Executive Officer, said: "We are also delighted to welcome Dato' Sallehuddin to the board."He has significant experience in the finance industry and we look forward to working with him and drawing on his wealth of knowledge that will be invaluable as we continue to explore industrial applications and opportunities for graphene."Previously Sallehuddin bin Othman served as the Group Managing Director of Malaysian Industrial Development Finance Berhad, one of Malaysia's leading development finance institutions.
