(Sharecast News) - Mobile-focussed gambling content developer Gaming Realms announced on Wednesday that it has gone live with Loto-Québec in the Canadian province of Quebec, which has a population of around 8.5 million.

The AIM-traded firm said the provincial crown corporation was the only regulated operator of i-gaming in the province.

It said its portfolio of Slingo Original games would launch across Loto-Québec's platform - initially with Slingo Extreme and Blackjack Xchange going live, and the rest of the portfolio following.

The Slingo brand was already present in the Quebec lottery market, with several million Slingo-branded scratch tickets sold annually.

Gaming Realms said the games were launching through its North American partner Light & Wonder, previously known as Scientific Games Corporation.

"Hot on the heels of being awarded our Ontario i-gaming licence, we are delighted to have gone live with Loto-Québec," said chief financial officer Mark Segal.

"2022 is set to be an exciting time for the company as we move to establish a strong foothold in the Canadian market and work towards our longer-term plan of expanding further into the North American market."

At 1143 BST, shares in Gaming Realms were up 2.82% at 31p.
