(Sharecast News) - Gambling content developer and licensor Gaming Realms announced the official launch of its content in the Canadian province of Ontario on Wednesday.

The AIM-traded firm said the content went live on Monday - the first day Ontario's regulated gaming market opened.

Seven games from the company's 'Slingo' portfolio were now live in Ontario with Rush Street Interactive's 'BetRivers' brand, as well as with Kindred and BetMGM.

Gaming Realms said it expected more of its content would be certified "very soon", with agreements in place to go live with several other unnamed "leading" operators.

"We have been looking forward to launching in Ontario once the market opened, and we are delighted that our content is now live in what will be one of the biggest markets for Gaming Realms in North America," said executive chairman Michael Buckley.

"With 13 deals signed for Ontario, and many more in the pipeline, this expands and strengthens our global presence while bringing our hugely popular and innovative Slingo content to a new audience.

"Ontario has a population of about 15 million people, and with the recently announced deal with Loto-Québec, our games are now available to more than 20 million people in Canada."

Gaming Realms said it would announce its results for the year ended 31 December on 26 April.

At 1215 BST, shares in Gaming Realms were down 4.61% at 29.24p.
