Trading at Games Workshop Group has met its hopes in the second half, the tabletop war-gaming company said on Friday. The group, known for its Warhammer brand and Lord of the Rings tabletop battle game, said trading in the four months to April 6th 2014 was broadly in line with the board's expectations.Games, which designs, makes and sells miniature plastic and metal soldiers and game systems and accessories, said in its half-year results in January that a restructuring had contributed to a fall in revenue to £60.5m from £67.5m a year ago. Pre-tax profit dropped to £7.7m from £11.1m last time.It said at the time that a move from multi-man stores to one-man stores and a reduction of trading hours across the group disrupted its retail chain. It also experienced some decline in sales through independent stockists. Shares in Games Workshop fell 2.5p or 0.5% to 520p by 08:43 in London.PW
