QinetiQ, the defence technology and security firm, was a high riser today on weekend reports that it is putting its US division up for sale. The firm announced back in May that it was launching a strategic review into the unit.Provident Financial was given a boost by JPMorgan Cazenove after it reiterated its 'overweight' rating on the stock, saying that "there remains substantial value in the shares".Centamin shares climbed after the group reduced its stake in AIM-listed Nyota, which last week signed deals with another firm, excluding Centamin. The FTSE 250 miner sold 20m shares at the end of last week, reducing its stake to 17.2% of the issued share capital. Meanwhile, soft drinks giant Britvic came off last week's strong gains, which were generated after the company posted 12.8% growth in fourth-quarter revenue, driven by warm weather in July and full availability of Fruit Shoot compared to this time last year.
