Shareholders in wounded bid target Micro Focus got some good news on Wednesday as the legacy software specialist said it is trading ahead of expectations. The upbeat trading statement makes a change from profit warnings, of which there have been two this year. The profit warnings, along with senior management upheavals, resulted in a plunge in the share price earlier this year which alerted private equity houses looking for a cheap acquisition. The share price of data centre operator Telecity has again risen after it said demand for its services remains vibrant and it is on track to meet market expectations for the full year in an announcement on Monday.
