Housebuilder Bovis Homes was the fourth biggest riser on the FTSE 250 index, advancing 3.16 per cent to 751p by the close of trade after the group unveiled its annual report for 2012. This showed that the group delivered a 68% increase in profits before taxation to £54.1m and increased return on capital employed by 2.7 percentage points to 7.7% in 2012. High street bookie Ladbrokes was the fifth biggest riser, after analysts at Jefferies upgraded their rating for the company from 'buy' to 'hold' with a target price of 265p. The broker said that the company's deal with Playtech had revitalised its online aspirations with execution credibility. "The growth rate, cash generation and dividend prospects all step up to a level that justifies an upgrade to our price target and rating," analysts said.Kazakh copper miner Kazakhamys was the biggest faller on the FTSE 250 index. At the close of trading, the group's share price had fallen by 8.97% after the group unveiled its audited results for the year ended December 31st.
