Filtronic revealed a decline in half year pre-tax profit and said it expects reduced demand levels to continue through the remainder of the financial year.The telecommunications technology group said pre-tax profit from continuing operations fell to £0.1m for the six months ended 30 November 2009 from £2.4m the year before. Revenue from continuing operations halved to £9.6m from £18.3m previously.Filtronic announced cash of £16.3m compared to £15.8m the year before.Commenting on the outlook chairman Howard Ford said, "The Board expects the reduced demand levels, which have prevailed since late 2008, to continue through the remainder of the financial year until a recovery in telecoms infrastructure expenditure materialises."
