Financial services group Fairpoint has acquired a Bristol-based law firm for £0.4m as part of its plan to expand income streams in legal services.The company has purchased family law specialists Fosters and partners, which generated revenues of £1.2m in the year ended December 2013. Chief Executive Officer Chris Moat said: "I'm pleased that we have already taken the next step towards fulfilling our strategy of consolidation within the legal services marketplace. "Fosters will strengthen Simpson Millar's footprint in the South West and substantially strengthen its family law team."Last month Fairpoint completed the acquisition of Simpson Millar Solicitors together with associated companies for £7m in order to develop the group's consumer-focused legal services business.
