(Sharecast News) - Media and marketing consultancy Ebiquity has appointed Alan Newman as its new chief financial and operating officer.Newman will join the company on 7 January and be appointed as an executive director of the board. Interim CFO Kevin McNair will step down from the role and the board on the same day.Ebiquity said Newman has extensive public company experience, having spent almost ten years as CFO of AIM-listed market research and data analytics group YouGov. He is currently chair of the Audit Committee of Future and deputy chair of the Quoted Companies Alliance.Prior to YouGov, he was a partner at EY and previously at KPMG, where he provided board level advisory and consulting services specialising in the media, technology and telecoms sector.Chief executive officer Michael Karg said: "Alan is an exceptional addition to Ebiquity's executive team. He brings a vital combination of public company and media sector expertise as we continue our business transformation.
