Director dealings: Anglo's Cutifani dips in, Mills's takes more profits at Gleeson

(ShareCast News) - Mark Cutifani, chief executive of Anglo American, has spent £220,000 buying shares in the troubled mining company. The Australian, whose annual bonus was revealed on Monday to have shrunk 40% due to the company's tumbling share price, bought 40,000 ordinary shares of at a price of 551p apiece. Cutfani's take home pay was boosted as shares vesting in his long-term performance plan paid out £778,000, so that his pay was just 8.3% lower than the previous year's.Since he was appointed in January 2013, crumbling commodity prices have led to Anglo's shares falling from near £20 to this January's low just above £2. With shares in MJ Gleeson rising almost 60% since the start of 2015, director Chris Mills' activist investment vehicle Harwood Capital has taken a £1.7m of profit.The North Atlantic Smaller Companies Investment Trust, which is managed by Harwood, sold 298,500 shares at an average price of 565p per share.Following a handful of sales last year, which have taken the stake from above 25%, this latest profit-taking leaves Mills' current shareholding at 11.06m, or 20.4% of the regeneration-focused housing developer.
