City of London Investment Group appoints CEO

City of London Investment Group reported Monday that Doug Allison would take over as the new Chief Executive Office in the New Year.Allison, who has been Finance Director since 1998, will replace Barry Olliff, who will continue as Chief Investment Officer.Valerie Tannahill, who joined the company in 1997 as Finance Manager, has been appointed as Finance Director. She is also director of The World Markets Umbrella Fund, City of London's Dublin-listed undertakings for collective investment in transferable securities product. Philippa Keith, of MSP Secretaries, has accepted the position of company secretary.The changes to the UK fund management group's board will take effect on January 1st.RD
