Carillion has agreed the specific terms of a joint-venture agreement with Sunderland City Council, which has a value of up to £800m to Carillion over its 20-year life.The partnership, which was announced earlier this month, has been formed to deliver the city's regeneration programme.The contract has reached financial close."We are delighted to have achieved financial close on this major innovative programme," said chief executive Richard Howson."I believe our success reflects Carillion's ability to offer solutions tailored to the specific needs of our customers and our ability to provide a fully integrated solution that will deliver the immediate and long-term services required by the council."
