Cairn to explore Greenland ahead of schedule

Cairn Energy has secured a drill ship to get an early start on its exploration activities in Greenland.The Stena Forth, a sixth generation dynamically positioned drill ship, has been contracted by the oil company to start operations in the summer of 2010 on Cairn's Disko West acreage in Greenland.The Stena Forth is currently under contract to Hess Corporation, who have agreed to release it for a period of around six months.The arrangement will enable Cairn to start drilling a year earlier than previously scheduled.
