BT secures TV deal with Breaking Bad producers AMC

(ShareCast News) - BT Group has secured the rights to show new TV series from US cable and satellite television channel AMC, the makers of the phenomenally successful 'Breaking Bad' and 'Mad Men' series.After recent moves to swipe Premier League and Champions League football from ITV and Sky, the telecoms company continued to step on its rivals toes with the launch of 'AMC from BT' in the UK on 28 August.BT has agreed exclusive rights to join the worldwide premiere of highly anticipated zombie series 'Fear the Walking Dead' later in the month, along with the latest series of legal drama 'Rectify' from SundanceTV.The partnership with BT is AMC's first ever launch in the UK, the US company said. In May BT recently made incursions into Sky territory with a download deal for HBO's Game of Thrones.
