Telecoms group BT has now announced that it has reached an agreement with the National Basketball Association (NBA) for live television coverage of top NBA games starting this winter.The announcement comes just two weeks after BT won an exclusive contract to broadcast the UEFA Champions League for three seasons, which came as a major blow to fellow broadcasters BSkyB and ITV.Under the new multi-year deal, BT customers will now also have access to around 200 NBA games a year, with up to seven live basketball matches per week throughout the regular season and coverage during the NBA Playoffs next summer. "BT Sport will be the new home of the NBA in the UK and Ireland," said Simon Green, Head of BT Sport. "Existing NBA fans will love our coverage, and we look forward to converting many more." Games will be shown across BT Sport 1, BT Sport 2 and ESPN, starting on December 1st.BT's share price was up 0.21% at 374.7p by 15:46 on Thursday.BC
