BP Directors To Make Formal Dividend Decision Monday -BBC's Peston

DOW JONES NEWSWIRES BP PLC's (BP, BP.LN) board of directors will meet Monday to make a formal decision on whether to pay a second quarter dividend, BBC business editor Robert Peston reports Friday. The board plans to defer the dividend, according to both Peston and a report from The Times of London. No announcement on the dividend will be made until after BP executives' meeting Wednesday with U.S. President Barack Obama, Peston added. A BP spokeswoman told Dow Jones Newswires that no decision on the dividend has been made and that options remain open.
