Bovis unveils new Non-Executive Chairman

Housebuilder Bovis Homes has appointed Ian Tyler to replace out-going Non-Executive Chairman Malcolm Harris from the end of November. Tyler, who has over 20 year's experience in construction and related industries, was Chief Executive of Balfour Beatty from 2005 until March 2013, during which time he helped develop the company, which went from being primarily a UK construction business to a global infrastructure services business with revenue of £10.9bn. He is currently a Non-Executive Director of BAE Systems, Non-Executive Chairman of Al Noor Hospitals Group and a Non-Executive Director of Cairn Energy. Alastair Lyons, Non-Executive Deputy Chairman, who led the process of selecting a successor to Malcolm Harris, said: "I am delighted to welcome someone of Ian's commercial experience and understanding of construction and infrastructure to our board as Chairman in succession to Malcolm Harris."NR
