(ShareCast News) - Shares in BMR Mining surged 14% early on Monday after the company said it had submitted its draft environmental and social impact assessment for the Kabwe project to the Zambian Environmental Management Agency (ZEMA).The study, which is aimed at assessing the impact of the company's lead and zing tailings re-treatment project in the country, will now be reviewed and commented on by ZEMA, the company said.Meanwhile, the miner said it will continue to develop its engineering plans and to gather the necessary equipment for its facilities."We are pleased to report this key step in our submission of a draft application to ZEMA as we continue to formulate our plans for the construction phase of our operational pilot plant," said group chairman and chief executive Alex Borrelli.BMR shares were up 14.04% to 6.70p at 0957 BST on Monday.
