BBL: Maintenance On Bacton Heaters Completed, Flow Resumes

LONDON (Dow Jones)--Maintenance work at the receiving terminal of the gas pipeline which links the Netherlands and the U.K., has been completed ahead of schedule and flow has resumed Monday, the operating company BBL said. "Scheduled work on the heaters at Bacton has been completed in total on Monday 14 June. The announced work for Tuesday 15 June is therefore cancelled," a statement on the company website said. BBL pipeline flows between Balgzand in the Netherlands and Bacton on the U.K.'s east coast. BBL is a joint venture between Gasunie which has a 60% share, E.On Ruhrgas SA which has 20% and Fluxys SA (FLUX.BT) which holds 20%. It has a capacity of 36 million cubic meters a day. Flow dropped to zero earlier Monday but had ramped back up to around 21 million cubic meters a day by 1200GMT according to the National Grid website.
