(ShareCast News) - Amazon's Eco Alexa voice control is to be used on LightwaveRF's products, which enables users to remotely control light, heat, power and security through an application, on Thursday.Through its application, LightwaveRF can operate its range of devices or link to other platforms, now including Amazon's Echo, a hands-free speaker you control with your voice, which connects to the Alexa voice service to play music, provide information, news, sports results and weather.John Shermer, founder and chief technology officer at LightwaveRF, said: "We now have a powerful cloud platform that we can easily link with other major connected home brands. The combination of Alexa voice control and LightwaveRF massively improves the user experience for both Amazon Echo and LightwaveRF customers."During the year, the AIM-listed company invested in its cloud platform allowing it to integrate with other systems including IFTTT, a tool that allows users to create changes on other web services, and Google Nest, a heating control system.Since the UK launch of Amazon Echo and Alexa in late September, the company has been working with Amazon to achieve voice control of the full LightwaveRF product range.Shares in LightwaveRF were down 1.26% to 13.08p at 0816 GMT and shares in Amazon were down 2.01% in pre-market trade to $771.88.
