Advanced Computer Software Chairman trades in 1m shares

The Chairman of Advanced Computer Software this week sliced off 870,380 pounds-worth of shares from his stake, reducing it to 2.42m, the group announced after the close on Thursday. Michael Jackson disposed of exactly 1m shares in the healthcare and business management software, and said he made the sale for "personal reasons". Jackson, who took up the post of Chairman in 2008, was able to take advantage of the strong rise seen in the group's share price since the start of the year, during which time it has climbed from a low of 68p, to sell at 87.038p a piece.The disposal was made on Wednesday, the same day the company posted a 74% jump in group revenue to £99.1m, driven largely by the acquisition of CSH earlier this year, and a 7% rise in pre-tax profit. The group revealed it was "increasingly confident" of delivering good full year results and said it was in an "excellent" position to take advantage of further acquisition opportunities.
