(Sharecast News) - Managed IT services group Adept Technology said on Wednesday that it has made "considerable" year-to-date progress with its strategy of further expanding its capabilities.
Adept continued its geographical expansion over the last six months through a combination of organic sales and recently-acquired Advanced Computer Systems, an education-focused IT business.

The integration of ACS into Adept was "largely completed", it said, with the finance function being integrated into its Orpington office. Adept said the business will have a full six-month contribution to the group's interim results.

During the period, the AIM-listed company also successfully won a contract to design and roll out a super-fast network infrastructure across all departments and sites of Kent NHS- including managed firewalls - in more than 400 hospitals, hospices and GP surgeries across the county.

Adept said it was in "an excellent position" to take advantage of the continuing convergence between IT and telecoms.

Chairman Ian Fishwick said: "Our interim results for the six months ended 30 September 2019 are expected to be published on 12 November 2019, and the board is confident that the interim results will support its progressive dividend growth policy."

At 1040 BST, Adept shares were down 28.69% to 256p.
