Public transport CCTV supplier 21st Century Technology has won a £1.1m surveillance equipment deal from an unidentified Swedish passenger transport operator. The group, which makes CCTV and monitoring systems for buses and trains, said it had won a four-year contract to support on-vehicle mobile surveillance, safety and communication systems on the operator's fleet in Stockholm.A framework agreement to supply, fit and maintain systems has been extended by two and a half years to end in August 2018.Chief executive Russ Singleton said: "We are delighted that our Swedish-based team have been selected to continue our relationship with this major client and look forward to supporting them on over 850 Stockholm buses in the coming year."The group is currently a preferred supplier of mobile CCTV to two of the UK's largest bus operators; Arriva UK Bus & First Group UK Bus. It also provides services to Keolis and Arriva in Stockholm, Sweden and Keolis in France.Shares rose 0.37p or 7.5% to 5.38p at 14:17 in London.
