(Sharecast News) - Software firm 1Spatial has secured a three-year contract with the US state of Montana for the provision of its next-generation 911 solution.

1Spatial said on Wednesday that the contract with Montana, the seventh US state to take up the solution, had a total value of approximately $800,000 over three years.

The AIM-listed firm highlighted that its new solution will enable all emergency entities in Montana to upload and accurately validate their location and 911 data against NG911 requirements.

Chief executive Claire Milverton said: "This is a great competitive win and the seventh state so far in the USA that has chosen 1Spatial to deliver their Next Generation 911 system.

"As the 911 systems across America digitise, we are seeing significant new opportunities, like Montana, where we can bring our unique technology and solutions to help providers achieve faster response times, based on more accurate data and ultimately save lives."

As of 1000 GMT, 1Spatial shares were up 0.61% at 44.77p.
